Secure Impact (SI) are proud to have partnered with the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), Bahrain in the delivery of the Kingdom’s highly successful Arab International Cybersecurity Summit (AICS) 2023 on 5th and 6th December, 2023. Across these two two event-filled days, SI delivered CyberXDefense, our innovative and hands-on programme of cyber security workshops and technical talks, geared towards providing actionable and inspiring learnings for cyber practitioners, CISOs, and other executives.
To kick off the summit, James Lyne, our founder, set the tone with a powerful keynote to the region’s dignitaries and international industry leaders, sharing insight to how attackers have evolved alongside new technologies, from automation to cloud, to AI, and what opportunities and threats face us all in the near future. His parting wisdom being “now is the time for us collectively to identify not the answers to the ever-evolving threats (as no one knows), but the teams, the experts, the people that will be used to stay on top of these moving targets.”
And this was a key focus for the NCSC and the SI team in the development and delivery of CyberXDefense, a progressive cyber security programme which delivered fascinating insights to bleeding edge tactics and tools with the future in mind, encouraged the sharing of ideas between attendees, and provided delegates the opportunity to get hands on in workshops for actionable learnings they could take away to their day jobs.

In today’s virtually connected age, conferences like AICS are a vitally important chance to connect with the cyber security community, raise awareness of importance of cyber security topics, and to develop and practice critical skills alongside peers for immediate learning outcomes.
